Sherrod Library of East Tennessee State University has several special collections that relate to law and political science. Additionally, many of the newer legal resources are located online. There are two legal online law databases available at Sherrod Library. Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw provide access to all 50 state codes, legal reference materials, cases and legislation.

Scott County has three public libraries — in Huntsville, Oneida and Winfield — in addition to the Robbins Book Station. Our libraries foster reading for all ages and offer a variety of resources, including audio tapes for adults and children, computers with Internet access for public use, local history collections, microfilm readers and film collections, summer reading programs and story time programs, and more.

Please call before coming into the Tullahoma office as Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands (LASMTC) may be able to help by phone or mail. LASMTC may also be able to come to the county where you live.
LASMTC only takes legal problems that a person cannot go to jail for. If you have a criminal case, you need to call the Public Defender’s office.
Please call or stop by the Legal Aid East Tennessee (LAET) office to apply for service in Johnson City, Tennessee.
