HELP4TN Day is Saturday, April 6, 2019 - HELP4TN Blog

Click here to find a legal clinic near you!

Tennessee attorneys will be offering FREE legal advice, information, and assistance at over 100 events across the state on April 6th and throughout the rest of the month.

Have legal questions?  Can't afford an attorney?  HELP4TN Day is for you!

The clinics cover many important topics including:  child custody, child support, divorce, landlord tenant problems, debt collection, benefits, healthcare, expungements and more.

What should I know before going to a clinic?

  • Some clinics require you to make an appointment, but some do not.  The link above will tell you if you need to make an appointment.
  • Bring any forms or documents related to your legal question to the clinic with you.  A lawyer can help you look at them and understand your rights or understand the situation better.  For example, if you have a question about the apartment or home that you are renting, you should bring a copy of your lease and any notices you have received from the landlord.

Can’t get to a clinic? You can still get help for free at HELP4TN.org.

HELP4TN Day is a joint effort by the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission, the Administrative Office of the Courts, Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services, and the Tennessee Bar Association.

HELP4TN Blog posts are written by TALS staff attorneys. This blog is not legal advice, but it is legal information to help you learn about your rights. If you have questions about this blog or about your legal situation, you can talk to a lawyer for free at 1-844-HELP4TN (1-844-435-7486).
